The Thief Lives (Johnson, O'Neill, Williams)

Storyline: A bike. A payphone. Two ordinary people. One crazy man. Or is he a man? Are these elements related somehow? Probabaly loosely. A chase film where only one thing is certain; people can run as fast as bikes.

Running Time: 13:31

Behind the Scenes:

The Thief Lives Facts

Our first attempt at filmaking, not counting the ill fated 'The sky is so cool man' project that Simon tried some weeks earlier.

All three actors shared camera duties, resulting in some nifty use of CGI versions of ourselves being used in key scenes when we were actually holding the camera. Jamie still has the CGI version of himself on his desktop. It has a foul mouth.

It was really sunny in the UK, in the Summer of 2003. It just highlights how utterly rubbish and overcast the weather was from Summer 2004. Watch the dazzling sun here, then see how murky it was in mid Summer 2004 in Bird Hide. What a waste of sky.

That phonebox rules, and is still there. As yet, I've yet to see a tourist come by on a 'pilgrimage' of sorts to see it and other Thief Lives locations. Its gonna happen though.

How many times does Simon change his T-Shirt over the course of this film? I lost count.

We'd be willing to sell the Bike if we got a decent price. Just give us time to steal it from Adam. As this film highlights, bike security is a big issue in the UK right now and should really be taken very seriously indeed.
